“Chitrokor” is a story of a solvent housewife, a mom whose life is dedicated in pursuing creative art as part of her hobby. She got her husband in support of her passion. But after her husband’s death the relative whose house she was sheltered, used to believe in materialism. And he used to preach her son that money making is the only way that’s meaningful in life. First the lady tried to live with her passion even exposing her hobby to her child hiding from the shelter giver. But when he came to know and resisted vehemently, she didn’t even hesitate to leave the house with her child for the sake of her passion on art.

सुभाषिनी नाम की ऐसी लड़की की कहानी जो बोल नहीं सकती, इसलिए उसकी मित्रता भी मूक प्राणियों से अधिक है जिसे बोलने वाले समाज से हमेशा निरादर ही प्राप्त हुआ।

रायचरण जो कि अनुकूल बाबू के यहां नौकर है बड़े ही चाव और अपनेपन से उनके छोटे बच्चे को संभालता है। एक दिन बच्चा ज़िद करके उसे फूल तोड़ने को भेज स्वयं नदी में चला जाता है और फिर कभी वापस नहीं आता। रायचरण जिसे नौकरी से निकाल दिया गया है अपने बच्चे को अपने मालिक के बच्चे की तरह पाल कर उन्हें उसे भेंट कर देता है।

हरसुंदरी ने मां न बन पाने के कारण अपने पति निवारण का विवाह शेलबाला नाम की किशोरी से तो कर दिया पर उसे क्या पता था कि इसके बाद उसका जीवन इतनी मुश्किलों से भर जाएगा।

Chuti or The Home Coming is an interesting story written by the very famous Rabindranath Tagore. Explanation: The story revolves around a young boy who is in his teens and is confused about his life problems. His awkwardness is described beautifully.

Punishment” is an incisive morality tale about the way that a lie can quickly develop a life of its own. Tagore ingeniously crafts a story that at first seems like it’s going to focus on one version of violence, but instead is enveloped by another.

 “Poyla Nombor” is a story of an educated man who didn’t give any time recognizing wife’s wants and needs thinking her life is centered around his. And each time his guess about the concept of his wive’s thought process was proved wrong since he didn’t give a try and spend any time to understand her.

किसी के जाने से उसकी यादें नहीं मिटती लेकिन कुछ ज़िन्दगी में अधूरा सा जरूर रह जाता है। कुछ ऐसे ही भावनाओं को दर्शाती है ये कविता।

कहानी में प्रयागराज में लगे कुंभ मेले का दृश्य है जहां दूर-दूर से लाखों की संख्या में लोग अपने पाप को धोने के लिए संगम में डुबकी लगाने आते हैं। क्या मात्र डुबकी लगाकर पाप से मुक्त हुआ जा सकता है ?क्या वास्तव में अध्यात्म को भी एक पेशे की दृष्टि से अपनाया जाता है? आस्था ,परंपरा इन सब बातों का अद्भुत संगम है इस कहानी में। इसी बात को रोचक ढंग से आधार बनाकर ममता कालिया ने कहानी मेला का ताना-बाना बुना है,जिसे शेफ़ाली कपूर ने उतने ही अनोखे अंदाज़ से अपनी आवाज़ से निखारा है।

पिताजी ने महात्मा के मरने की ख़बर को ज़्यादा तव्वजो नहीं दी।वे अपने पैर पोंछने में मशगूल रहे।महात्मा के मरने की बात पर वे इस तरह चुप रहे जैसे उस बात का होना ना होना दोनों बराबर हों।महात्मा को ज़्यादातर लोग स्वामी जी कहते थे।लोगों को उनका नाम नहीं पता था।पिताजी अपने पैर पोंछते रहे। दत्ता अंकल भी थोडी देर चुप रहे। हमारे घर के ठीक सामने से एक कच्ची सड़क गुज़रती है।घर से सटी हुई यह सड़क बजरी के कारण लाल रंग की है।रोड पार घर के ठीक सामने एक कम्यून है।लोग इस कम्यून को आश्रम कमोहल्ले कम्यून है जिस का रहस्य बच्चों को बहुत कौतूहल करता है आखिर ऐसा क्या है कम्यून में जाने के लिए सुनते हैं कहानी कौन सी मौत
