But when he came to know and resisted vehemently, she didn’t even hesitate to leave the house with her child for the sake of her passion on art.

“Patro o Patri” is a story of a boy whose mom wanted to fix his marriage with a little girl before he goes to college. The marriage has been discarded by his father. But the process of negotiations revealed the fact that even 14 years old boy’s imagination of marital relationship was revolving around the same expectation, attention and control  towards his baby wife that he experienced in his father’s behavior pattern all through his life in spite of being a modern boy and raised independent.

Khata” is a story of a girl who in those days got the opportunity of schooling while women’s education was not that very common. The little girl was enthusiastically writing everywhere that was not very much appreciated by his brother as she was messing up his writing notebook. Once she got married she was taunted and prevented from writing by her sister-in-law and her husband who had himself a strong passion for writing. At the end she was forced to stop writing. Her fate was bound to surrender herself to the hostile situation. 

मेला – ममता कालिया – शैफाली कपूर

कहानी में प्रयागराज में लगे कुंभ मेले का दृश्य है जहां दूर-दूर से लाखों की संख्या में लोग अपने पाप को धोने के लिए संगम में डुबकी लगाने आते हैं। क्या मात्र डुबकी लगाकर पाप से मुक्त हुआ जा सकता है ?क्या वास्तव में अध्यात्म को भी एक पेशे की दृष्टि से अपनाया जाता है? आस्था ,परंपरा इन सब बातों का अद्भुत संगम है इस कहानी में। इसी बात को रोचक ढंग से आधार बनाकर ममता कालिया ने कहानी मेला का ताना-बाना बुना है,जिसे शेफ़ाली कपूर ने उतने ही अनोखे अंदाज़ से अपनी आवाज़ से निखारा है।

एक आम लड़की की तरह सुमिता ने भी शादी के सुनहरे सपने देखे थे। सोम के रुप में जीवनसाथी को पाकर सुमिता जैसे खुशी से पागल सी हो गई थी। लेकिन उसका यह भ्रम बहुत जल्दी टूट गया। शादी के तीन दिन बाद ही उसे सोम की बीमारी का पता चला । उसे लगा कि जैसे वह ठगी गई है। तब, उसने एक अहम फैसला लिया।

मगर मैं सोचता हूँ – आदमी क्यार चूहे से भी बद्तर हो गया है? चूहा तो अपनी रोटी के हक के लिए मेरे सिर पर चढ़ जाता है, मेरी नींद हराम कर देता है। इस देश का आदमी कब चूहे की तरह आचरण करेगा? लेखक ऐसा क्यों सोच रहा है पूरी कहानी जानने के लिए सुनते हैं हरिशंकर परसाई के द्वारा लिखी गई कहानी चूहा और मैं ,निधि मिश्रा की आवाज में
