राष्ट्रीय कवि, लेखक, पत्रकार और स्वतंत्रता सेनानी एक भारतीय आत्मा माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी की ज़िंदगी पर पहली बार एक घंटे की बायोपिक फ़िल्म। इस फ़िल्म में माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी की ज़िंदगी के अनेक पहलुओं को उजागर किया गया है। माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी काल कोठरी में भी रात रात भर जाग कर कविता लिखते थे। स्वतंत्रता आंदोलन के दौरान सबसे प्रेरणादायी कविता – चाह नहीं मैं सुरबाला के गहनों में गूंथा जाऊँ— की रचना भी उन्होंने जेल में ही की। यह सब आप सुन सकते हैं ख़ुद माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी की आवाज़ में। अपनी बेबाक पत्रकारिता के लिए माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी को कई बार जेल जाना पड़ा। ब्रिटिश सरकार ने उनपर राजद्रोह का मुक़दमा चलाया लेकिन माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी अपने निर्भीक पत्रकारिता से कभी नहीं हटे। प्रभा, प्रताप और कर्मवीर जैसे पत्रिकाओं के माध्यम से उन्होंने अँगरेज़ी सरकार का जमकर विरोध किया और पूरे देश में राष्ट्रीयता की भावना जगाई। अपने शानदार साहित्यिक लेखन के लिए साहित्य अकादमी पुरस्कार पाने वाले वे पहले व्यक्ति थे। देखिए एक भारतीय आत्मा माखनलाल चतुर्वेदी की जीवन गाथा पर बनी एक शानदार फ़िल्म।
